A Slot Mortise Chip Breaker is ideal for mortising slots in solid wood, door locks, flush mortising of fittings. The bit has 2 straight cutting wings with chip breakers that break up long chips even when deep cutting. This prevents heating and clogging and stands out against regular mortising bits.
Use for mortising in hard and soft wood in mortisers at low RPMs. The cutting edges are made from Tungsten Carbide set in high strength HSS.
