Two & three flute square end mills for cutting soft metals such as aluminium are a high performance mill. CNC milling of aluminium can be difficult, the material can stick to the flutes and the chips can "gum" the flutes. These mills are designed for optimal swarf removal and are forgiving when using smaller format CNC machines. Achieve that cleaner side finish with this two flute mill. Want a better finish? Try the three flute cutters for soft metal. Soft / non ferrous metals include aluminium, brass and copper.

Small Carbide Cutter
Having to machine a considerably long O'ring groove in an aluminum block (1.8mm wide x 1.6 deep) and after breaking 3 of the "oversea's" cutters I purchased a few Adam's D1.5mm cutters. These cutters went through AL 6061 like butter and still on my first bit. Very happy and no longer concerned about machining oring grooves.
